Mind-Body-Bump: Prenatal Yoga

Service Description

Appropriate for all stages of pregnancy, each class is mindfully sequenced alongside child-birth ed to prepare you physically, mentally, and emotionally for labor, delivery, and post-birth recovery. Classes begin with a community building circle followed by a short, grounding relaxation exercise. Next, multiple waves of intensity-building flow help build strength and stability while also releasing tension and moving pent-up energy out of the body. A peak experience is followed postures that balance and tone the hips, transverse abdominals and pelvic floor. Classes close with rest and relaxation. ALL SKILL LEVELS & STAGES OF PREGNANCY WELCOME. No experience necessary. Comfortable, supportive active wear and layers (especially socks) are recommended, but not necessary. Class setup includes a yoga mat, two blocks, and a bolster. If you do not have these items at home, use a chair, foot stool or ottoman, tissue boxes, or new paper towel rolls in place of blocks. Towels, blankets, and/or pillows can be substituted for a bolster.
